The fact of the matter is, is that an auto insurance company is only going to be able to make money, if it’s able to do what these companies do well, and that’s assess risk. Some companies feel they have a leg up on the competition, because of their IT. Some companies feel their IT is their secret sauce, but nothing beats a genius instinct about risk, about odds, and about, most importantly, their customers. Customer understanding is so fundamental to any business, but more so in the insurance industry, because it’s such a pure interaction with the customer; it’s just the policy and the customer.
